Dr. Dean?

Having returned from the first of this semester’s Cultural Business research seminars, I shared the news with my family that the new Dean of the Business School expects all members of staff who don’t already have a PhD. to start working towards one by the end of the year.
My-soon-to-be-8-year-old son, Rory, offered to help me study, then asked “What will you be studying Mummy?”
My husband explained I would need to choose what to study for the next three years.
“I know. How about dinosaurs?”
‘Not sure how that fits with my current role at GCU, but there must be the bones of a story in it.
How about a statistical research analysing how newspapers, broadcasts and online sources influence people’s sense of social responsibility/political persuasion/lifestyle? Also good timing for a long term research looking at changes in people’s approach to media. You know, Likert scales and all that..
Sorry, I quite like researches.
