I’m a freelance journalist and I’m currently based in Glasgow.  I’ve just finished a Masters degree in Mulitmedia Journalism at Glasgow Caledonian University, and I’m now working on building up my portfolio.  I’ve done work placements with the Herald, the Evening Times, Grazia and The List, and I now freelance for the Herald and Evening Times Group as well as several websites and Features Warehouse, a features-based agency. 

My main specialism is fashion and lifestyle journalism for print and online.  I also have a degree in fashion business and I have developed my interest in fashion further through my writing.  I enjoy writing features on health, beauty, women’s lifestyle, entertainment, travel, and anything else that catched my eye.  I’m an avid blogger and I enjoy the challenge of writing for different mediums.

Freelancing is difficult because it requires a lot of motivation and hard work, but the reward of seeing my byline is worth it, and I enjoy the freedom of working for myself.

My blog diary is basically an account of my efforts in making it as a freelancer – doing my best to get commissions and get published alongside working to pay my bills!
