About
‘Attitudes to Poverty: Continuity and Change’ is a project of Glasgow Caledonian University, co-funded by 2 subject centres of the of the Higher Education Academy: the Social Policy and Social Work Subject Centre and the Sociology, Anthropology and Politics Subject Centre (C-SAP) . The aim of the project is to demonstrate the efficacy of a joint approach to digitising authentic archival resources for educational purposes. More details about the project background can be found on the SWAP web site.
All articles have been scanned from original bound volumes of the Poor Law Magazine of Scotland held in Research Collections at Glasgow Caledonian University. The scanned page images have then been transformed into searchable text by OCR. The text of the articles is in PDF format. Your web browser will most likely open these files automatically. If you have trouble viewing the files please download and installĀ the free Acrobat Reader software from the Adobe web site – http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/
