As regards a totalitarian state, we’re pretty much there, UK is the most CCTV’d country on the planet, cops photograph and film protestors and keep the footage ‘just in case’, the government want to bang people up indefinitely without charge if they suspect terrorism offences.

However, maybe the flip side of the online trail is that wrongdoing is always traceable and can be detected. Could be good for us journos.

That’s such a good piece! I loved the guy’s Rs (or rather AVVs) tho they kept on distracting me.. Still, there should be more like him.
